In 2012 our theme was youth ‘recalculation’ on the journey. We set out our plans and programs in the hope to find new direction and focus in our work being inspired by the Holy Spirit and inspiring young people as we continue to serve in Transylvania. Over the last 12 years in IKE we have established signature programs that have been organize on annual base ensuring a certain stability and continuity for IKE.  Such are the IKE Annual Youth Camp, Bible knowledge competition, Sports Weekend, English language teaching camp, Waiting for the Lord Advent Worship festival, Leadership Training course and well established Student mission work in Cluj and Tirgu Mures. The largest event of the year was the IKE ‘Change Direction’ summer youth festival which will become our main bi-annual evangelistic outreach. This year the theme was identical to the year theme of ‘recalculating’ and we attempted to form our program of worship, Bible teaching, concerts, prayer times, sports, worship concerts, games and arts activities focussing on young people at a crossroads. Cool school program was initiated in 2011 because of a realised need in the schools in Transylvania. The success of the project due to fact that is designed to help classes where there are conflicts and difficulties in study, behaviour or in working together. The Cool School program proved popular through a Facebook competition which attracted 3,500 students in 165 classes in 121 schools from 86 towns in Transylvania. We continued to strengthen the local groups led by our travelling secretary focussing on visiting our local groups. In 2012 we published a resource material for youth bible studies. We kept in touch with our international partners and IKE was represented at the international forums. We have an ongoing partnership with our colleagues in Görlitz YMCA, Aberdeen YMCA, Lincoln YMCA, Bournemouth YMCA and YMCA Hungary. Also have a long partnership with Churches from Ireland, England, and Switzerland.

In 2013 we would like to focus on strengthening our regional and local organizations. We have plans to issue an individual membership card implemented by the end of 2013 card which should contribute greatly to strengthening our movement. We also want to focus on our volunteers and will organizing a special celebration day for our volunteers. Currently we work directly with over 200 volunteers most of whom join the youth ministry in IKE through the University student mission.
